U okviru sedmogodi\u0161njeg ugovora, kompanija STV Inc. dobila je zadatak da upravlja kompletnim procesom nabavke novih lokomotiva koje \u0107e kombinovati savremenu <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"647\">Tier 4 dizel tehnologiju<\/strong> i <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"681\">baterijsko-elektri\u010dni pogon<\/strong>, \u010dime \u0107e biti zamijenjene lokomotive stare vi\u0161e od 35 godina.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"919\">Ovaj projekat predstavlja va\u017ean signal da \u017eeljezni\u010dki sektor ulazi u novu fazu tranzicije, u kojoj potpuna elektrifikacija vi\u0161e nije jedini put ka dekarbonizaciji transporta.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"963\">Za\u0161to MBTA uvodi baterijske lokomotive?<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"965\" data-end=\"1245\">Tradicionalna elektrifikacija \u017eeljezni\u010dkih koridora zahtijeva ogromna ulaganja u kontaktnu mre\u017eu, energetsku infrastrukturu i signalno-sigurnosne sisteme. U mnogim dr\u017eavama, posebno na regionalnim i prigradskim mre\u017eama, takve investicije predstavljaju ozbiljan finansijski izazov.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1351\">Zbog toga se sve ve\u0107a pa\u017enja usmjerava prema alternativnim rje\u0161enjima, me\u0111u kojima se posebno izdvajaju:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1501\">\n<li data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1388\">baterijsko-elektri\u010dne lokomotive,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1389\" data-end=\"1420\">hibridni \u017eeljezni\u010dki sistemi,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1439\">vodoni\u010dni pogon,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1501\">napredne dizel tehnologije sa zna\u010dajno smanjenim emisijama.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1503\" data-end=\"1652\">MBTA se odlu\u010dio upravo za ovaj kombinovani pristup, koji omogu\u0107ava postepenu tranziciju prema \u017eeljezni\u010dkom saobra\u0107aju sa niskim ili nultim emisijama.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 data-start=\"1654\" data-end=\"1694\">\u0160ta podrazumijeva Tier 4 tehnologija?<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1866\">Tier 4 standard predstavlja najstro\u017eiji ameri\u010dki regulatorni okvir za emisije dizel motora.
